Stinger Detox Mouthwash Review: How To Use It & Does It Work?
There are a lot of mouthwash products out there that claim to remove toxins from your mouth so you can pass an oral drug test. In this full review of Stinger detox mouthwash, I’m going to tell you if it works.
I used a mouthwash product to pass a drug test two years ago. So how does Stinger detox compare? I’m going to look at the ingredients, tell you how to use Stinger detox mouthwash properly, and tell you about the results of a home drug test I tested myself with after using it.
I’ll also tell you how drug toxins work in saliva, and why oral drug testing shouldn’t be underestimated.
Plus, I’ll tell you about an alternative strategy that uses another neutralizing product which could work far better than using mouthwash.
How Long Do Drug Toxins Stay In Saliva?
The good news is that drug toxins don’t stay long in saliva. For a moderate user, say you smoke a joint a couple of times per week to calm you down after a difficult session talking about domestic abuse, or to deal with emotional problems from an abusive partner, or just maybe for recreational use, it looks like this:
- Cannabis 48 hours
- Cocaine 24 hours
- Methamphetamine 72 hours
- Benzodiazepines 48 hours
- MDMA 24 hours
- Heroin up to 24 hours
The problem is that most people aren’t just moderate users, and they don’t lose drug toxins in the body in a linear fashion, especially not cannabis users. If you use drugs more regularly than once or twice per week, then the toxins start to build up in the body and take longer to leave.
Benzodiazepines can also be slow-release, and this can extend the time to a week or longer that they can be detectable in saliva.
The bottom line is that things like Stinger detox mouthwash could be needed even two, three, or four days after your last dose if you are a more regular user.
This Is Why Oral Drug Testing Shouldn’t Be Underestimated
The danger with all drug testing is its immediacy. You can be tested on the spot with ease.
It’s used in some countries for roadside drug testing by the police. It’s used during pre-employment drug testing, sometimes directly at the end of an interview. The reason it so insidious is that it’s cheap, and anyone can administer the test with 30 minutes of training on how to do it and then read the results.
So if you think you are in danger and are facing one any time soon, you need to prepare, and have the right product on you at all times.
What Else Can I Do To Avoid Detection?
If you have any notice at all, then you should be chewing gum and drinking water all the time to move saliva into and out of your mouth as much as possible.
You should also brush your teeth frequently; at least every couple of hours. This will also help to move saliva out of the mouth, as well as to ensure that you are removing toxins trapped around the gum line.
You can also use mouthwash frequently, as this can help to remove toxins from the mouth more readily than water alone.
Doing all this in the lead-up to using something like Stinger detox mouthwash could really help to increase your chances of success.
Full Instructions: How To Use Stinger Detox Mouthwash
Instructions on how to use Stinger detox mouthwash to pass a drug test are pretty straightforward, but quite time-consuming compared to other mouthwash products:
- Pour about 1/5 of the liquid in the bottle into your mouth and swill it around for one minute, then spit it out.
- Repeat that process until the entire bottle is gone, meaning five minutes or more to complete this process.
- Don’t eat or drink anything else and then submit your sample as quickly as possible.
So as you can see, pretty straightforward stuff. But you do need quite a bit of time to do this, and it has to be out of sight if you are doing it just before the test.
How Long Does Stinger Detox Mouthwash Last?
Stinger detox mouthwash instructions don’t tell you how long you will stay clean. Most mouthwash products give you up to 30 minutes clean, but it’s concerning that Stinger detox don’t tell you any timescales at all.
I know how long these things last but does the average Joe who is buying it? If they don’t, then how long have they got? 10 minutes? Six hours? Forever?
It’s this lack of any hard facts around the duration it’s expected to last on the average user that makes me suspicious about if it works at all.
Does Stinger Mouthwash Really Work?
So the million-dollar question any review has to answer is does Stinger detox mouthwash work?
The key to this is to look at the ingredients. Bizarrely, they are the same active ingredients as those in Stinger detox drinks. Now how on earth those could work to pull toxins out through the bladder and neutralize toxins in your mouth is beyond me.
So I actually asked Stinger. I emailed them and asked them how the same four ingredients worked for a detox drink and in the mouthwash product. I asked how the composition in terms of sugar and other ingredients was also the same, and how it was basically a detox drink in a mouthwash bottle.
I never got a reply to my email. These guys are simply peddling sugared water in a variety of bottles.
Just to make really sure of my suspicions, I followed the instructions and did a mouth swab drug test myself. I wasted $30 on testing this nonsense.
Stinger detox mouthwash does not work. There is not a single ingredient in it that could work, and the fact that the composition is exactly the same as the detox drinks (don’t take my word for it go and look) tells you that this is never going to work.
How long does Stinger detox mouthwash last? Guys, it’s never going to even get started.
Best Saliva Neutralizing Mouthwash: Toxin Rid Rescue Wash
Now let’s look at a neutralizing mouthwash that actually does work. Toxin Rid Rescue Wash is the best of the bunch and I’ve used it myself to pass a drug test that works couple of years back.
This contains complex ingredients which help to neutralize the saliva for up to 30 minutes. Again, look at the ingredients list and you’ll see they are just completely different in composition to Stinger mouthwash.
Toxin Rid Rescue Wash is only $30, that’s actually five dollars less than Stinger detox mouthwash costs!
Instructions for using it are simpler as well:
- If you have preparation time make sure you brush your teeth and focus on the gum line. Chew gum and drink plenty of water to push more toxins through and out of the mouth.
- Drink half of the bottle, and swill it for around 30 seconds. Use your tongue to focus on the gum line.
- Repeat the process with the other half of the bottle.
- You should have up to 30 minutes clean then. Do not eat or drink anything else, and submit your sample as quickly as possible.
Available from Test Clear, for just $30, Rescue Wash is a far superior product that you should definitely be looking at if you need a neutralizing mouthwash solution.
Best Overall Strategy: Oral Clear Saliva Neutralizing Gum Capsule
The conclusion of my Stinger detox mouthwash review is obviously to not use it. There’s nothing in it that works. Toxin Rid Rescue Wash is the best alternative you should try.
However, the best overall strategy is not to use mouthwash at all. It’s to use a saliva-neutralizing gum capsule called Oral Clear. Oral Clear is a small capsule of concentrated neutralizing liquid. It costs $90, so it was not cheap. But it is incredibly effective in any circumstances.
Because it’s so small and potent you can carry it and use it any time. By the roadside, as the police approach you, as they are preparing a mouth swab test at work, or post-interview when they ask for a sample.
Cup it in your hand, cough, and place it in your mouth. Then pop it between your teeth, and work the liquid gently around your mouth for about 30 seconds or as long as you can get away with it. Then swallow the lot.
Undetectable, very effective, and can be done under any circumstances.
So if you have preparation time then a cheap mouthwash like Toxin Wash is fine. But you still have to deal with the bottle and the fact you have to spit the large volume of the liquid out.
But with Oral Clear gum, you are paying for the convenience of the discretion it gives you to take it under any circumstances, and to be able to swallow it and say it’s just gum and not be detectable.
