Guide To Using Detox Pills For THC
There is so much rubbish information out there about using detox pills for THC. So I thought it was time to write a quick, simple, and easy to read guide on using detox pills for drug tests.
I need to warn you about how many brands of pill there are out there that just don’t work. Part the problem is they aren’t a specialist, but they are marketed as such by the companies trying to push you for money.
So I’ll tell you which brands don’t work, and which brands in my experience do work. I’ll also offer you some advice on doing a natural detox and making sure you are genuinely clean and give you a couple of strategies should you not be clean on the day of your test.
Don’t worry, you can take away a lot of the hard work of natural detox, and be genuinely clean to pass a drug test if you follow everything I tell you here. It’s only going to take five minutes to tell you everything you need to know, so let’s get down to it.
Why Detox At all?
You might be wondering why you need to bother with detox at all. Can’t users use synthetic urine or detox drink?
Well, you certainly can, and both of those have a great chance of success. However, they have their own pros and cons, which I’ll talk about later on in this guide.
But to get to the meat right here at the start, if you’re going for an important job, or you’re under some sort of probation, insurance, or other serious scrutiny, then you need to be properly clean. However, doing a fully natural detox can take weeks. Let me explain why.
These are the detection times for some of the major drugs in urine testing:
- Cocaine 1-3 days
- Marijuana 2-7+ days
- Opiates 2-3 days
- Amphetamines 2-4 days
- Barbiturates 1+ weeks
- Benzodiazepines 1-4 days
- MDMA 2-3 days
Now, none of those look particularly scary do they? Just abstain for a handful of days, and in most cases, you’ll be clean, right?
Well, unfortunately, those are average detection times for a light user. If you are taking drugs several times a week, especially marijuana, then those detection times rocket.
Why Weed Is So Dangerous
As we are talking specifically about detox pills for THC in this guide, let’s explain why marijuana is so dangerous to drug testing.
Marijuana metabolites act slightly differently in the body. Metabolites are the waste products of taking drugs, that work their way out from your bloodstream into your organs, and then out through your bladder and bowels.
Most drug metabolites exit through the bladder. However, metabolites from cannabis are different. More than 60% of cannabis metabolites exit the body through the bowels.
They are also different because they can bind to cells in the body in a way the other drug metabolites can’t. This means they can cling on inside the body for weeks. You could test as clean for a few days, and then suddenly test positive because more of the metabolites attach to cells in your body came loose and worked their way out.
So marijuana detoxing has to be done thoroughly, and you have to make sure you’re clean for several days before you submit a sample.
How To Do A Natural Detox
It’s actually quite tough to do a natural detox properly. The problem is that you don’t know how long it’s going to take.
The older you are, the more unfit, if you’ve got any underlying health conditions, your diet, how much you exercise, the type of drugs you’re taking, alcohol, stress, all that stuff slows things down.
But if you going to do a natural detox, then to learn how to detox for a drug test, you need to do the following religiously every day until you test clean:
- Eat a low-fat diet and don’t overeat
- Make sure you are eating fiber, protein, vegetables, and fruits
- Cut out all the rubbish
- Don’t take in other toxins like alcohol and caffeine
- Make sure you cut out all the drugs
- Exercise every day
- Sweat every day
- Drink diuretics like green tea and cranberry juice
doing all of the above will give you the best chance of detoxing naturally. But it’s going to take time. If you’re a moderate weed smoker, a joint a day or less, then you are going to be looking at around a week to get clean. If you are smoking several joints a day, seven days a week, it could take you a month to get clean naturally, even following a full detox. Although to give you some hope, it is often far less.
How To Use Detox Pills For Drug Tests
So as you can see, natural detox is a big investment in time and effort. The way to accelerate that, and minimize the pain, is to use high-quality detox pills to speed up the elimination of those toxins that are in your body.
All detox pills basically work the same. You take them daily alongside your natural detox, usually several times per day. You drink plenty of water, do all the other things around a natural detox, and the combination will speed things up.
But you have to make sure they are real detox pills. You should avoid anything from Walmart, Walgreens, GNC, anywhere like that. They aren’t proper detox pills for weed, they aren’t really designed for a proper detox at all, they are supplements to speed things up a little bit.
Do Detox Pills Work?
The big question is do detox pills work, and in my experience they do. But only if you get the best detox pills, and there aren’t many of those around. When I was looking into doing a proper detox to pass an important drug test, I did some research. There are a couple of brands that stuck out all the time as having mostly positive reviews.
Now obviously you have to ignore the fake reviews, and you have to ignore the idiots that claim they don’t work when it was obvious they weren’t doing what they should have done anyway.
But my experience is that they do work. I did a seven day detox pill course and was clean at the end of those seven days. That’s pretty damn good as I smoke every day. I then did home drug test kits for three days afterward and was still negative every single day. You have to also make sure you don’t fall for the marketing around detox pills for weed. If a pill market itself as being a specialist pill to target THC toxins, then you should run a mile.
The reason is that weed metabolites cannot be targeted specifically by a detox pill. They might claim that they drag more toxins out through the bowels, but the only thing that is doing that is fiber in the pills. Think how big a pill is, think how much fiber can possibly be in there. Just eat a few pieces of wholemeal bread and you’ll have 50 times more fiber than you would in an entire pill course.
So steer clear of anything marketed specifically as a detox pill for THC toxins.
How To Detox For A Drug Test: Other Options
Before I finish this guide to telling you about detox pills for THC, I will just mention a couple of other options that you have.
- You could use synthetic urine to pass a drug test. It’s a pretty damn guaranteed way of doing it, if you use a good quality synthetic urine. However, it takes balls of steel to smuggle it in, and you have to get it smuggled in at the right temperature, which can be tough.
- You could use a detox drink. That should mask the toxins, but if you are a real chronic weed smoker then even the strongest detox drink could struggle to hold back the flow of toxins for more than a couple of hours.
Best Detox Pills For THC
So hopefully I’ve told you how to detox for a drug test properly now, and you are confident that detox pills do work. But remember they will only work alongside a proper full body detox. You can’t just take the pills and carry on smoking weed. They aren’t miracle pills.
But which brands of detox pills for THC should you be buying? The two that I have successfully used are Toxin Rid and Rescue 5 Day Detox.
Let me tell you about Rescue 5 Day Detox first. It costs $60, which is only about as much as a detox drink. It’s a five day course, although in truth it’s a seven day course as I will explain.
You take a group of pills the night before you start Rescue 5 Day Detox. You then take pills every morning and evening for the five days after that. On day seven, which should be timed to be the day of your test, you take some capsules that act in the same way as a detox drink does.
However, there’s not much margin for error there. If you haven’t flushed out all the toxins in that time, then you are screwed. But Rescue 5 Day Detox is capable of flushing out more toxins, and if you are not riddled with THC metabolites, it could work.
But if you want something industrial in strength, then I would go for Toxin Rid. Allow yourself at least seven days, and take that length of course. In fact, if you’re smoking weed every day I would go for the Toxin Rid 10 day course, costing $180.
You take three pills per hour for the first five hours of the day and do that every day of the course.
At the end of the course, you mix up the contents of the detox drink formula and drink that. Then the day of your test, or as close as possible, you mix up the dietary fiber formula and drink that as well.
I’ve used Toxin Rid and it is really powerful stuff. Within a couple of days, I had stuff flowing out of me which I was terrified to look at. But it was really moving things along, and I felt loads better after the end of the course.
Just make sure you have home drug test kits handy so you can check your progress to make sure you are clean. Plus, I would still advise you to have a detox drink handy, just in case you test positive a couple of hours before you leave to submit your sample.
